The cast of Housefull 4 wrapped up the final schedule of the film yesterday. The fourth instalment in the popular comedy franchise stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde, Rana Daggubati and Chunky Pandey.

Unlike the previous instalments, Housefull 4 will feature a past-present angle, with a significant portion of the film set in an earlier period. The production of the film was stalled when sexual harassment allegations emerged against actor Nana Patekar and director Sajid Khan in light of the #MeToo movement in Bollywood. While the former was replaced by Rana Daggubati, Farhad Samji of the Sajid-Farhad duo — who had directed Housefull 3 — stepped in to finish the film.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Housefull 4 is reportedly the highest budget comedy film to be produced in India. The film is expected to hit theatres next Diwali.
