Vijay’s next, tentatively titled Thalapathy 63, was recently announced by the producers, AGS Entertainment. It is now known that the film, which will bring the actor-director duo of Vijay and Atlee together again after two successful ventures, Theri and Mersal, will also star Vivekh. The comedian revealed his involvement in the project during a recent press interaction.

Vivekh and Vijay, who last worked together in Kuruvi (2008), have earlier collaborated on various films such as Aadhi, Udhaya, Thirumalai, Youth, Tamizhan, Kushi, Badri, Priyamanavale and Shahjahan. Incidentally, the comedian is also teaming up with Ajith in the actor’s upcoming film, Viswasam.

The Thalapathy 63 team also consists of Mersal’s music director, AR Rahman, and cinematographer, GK Vishnu. The film, which is expected to go on floors from January, will be released for Diwali 2019.
