Nayanthara's Kolayuthir Kaalam to finally see the light of day

CE Features

The long-delayed thriller, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, starring Nayanthara and directed by Chakri Toleti, will be released in January 2019, according to a poster released by the makers, on the occasion of the actor's birthday yesterday.

With repeated delays and periods of silence surrounding the project, there was widespread speculation that the film had been dropped because of financial issues. However, the producer Mathialagan came out with a tweet yesterday announcing that the film is very much in production.

Nayanthara is currently shooting for the horror thriller, Airaa, which features her in a dual role for the first time in her career. Directed by Sarjun, who is known for his short films Lakshmi and Maa, this film is in its final stage of shoot and will hit the screens in early 2019. The actor also has Ajith's Viswasam in Tamil, Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu, and Nivin Pauly's Love Action Drama in Malayalam, in the pipeline.
