It’s official. Vijay’s next film with Atlee, tentatively called Thalapathy 63, will have most of the same crew as the actor-director duo’s earlier film, Mersal. In an official statement, the production house, AGS Entertaiment, announced that AR Rahman will be composing the music for the film.

Thalapathy 63 will have cinematography by GK Vishnu, art design by Muthuraj, editing by Ruben L Antony, stunts by Anl Arasu and lyrics by Vivek. The film, touted to be a ‘pakka mass’ entertainer, is expected to hit the big screens next Diwali. The project was launched today with a small puja. However, shooting is expected to commence in January. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced.

Notably, this will be Vijay’s third Diwali release in a row after Mersal and Sarkar. Vijay and Atlee are joining hands for the third time after Theri and Mersal
