After the blockbuster success of the Baahubali franchise, there is a lot riding on director SS Rajamouli's next, RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead. The mega-budget film, which is believed to be the acronym for Rama Ravana Rajyam, was launched in a grand manner on November 11 (Sunday) in the presence of actors Chiranjeevi, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati. While Chiranjeevi gave the first clap for the film, Prabhas surprised his Baahubali director by making an impromptu appearance at the launch.

Produced by DVV Danayya, RRR, an action drama, is said to be made on a mammoth budget of 300 crores. Jr NTR and Ram Charan, who are rumoured to play siblings, have apparently taken part in intensive workshops to prepare for their roles, and look their parts.

The first schedule is expected to begin on November 19 with an elaborate action sequence, according to producer DVV Danayya.
