On the occasion of Kamal Haasan's birthday, we got an update on the actor-politician's next film, Indian 2. Directed by Shankar, it was officially confirmed that the sequel to Indian (1996) will be produced by Lyca Productions. The production house's twitter handle shared a birthday wish and a video that featured the climax of the 1996 film, alongside which the logo of Indian 2 was also revealed. 

While Kajal Aggarwal is speculated to play the lead, Anirudh Ravichander is rumoured to be the film's music director and Ravi Varman the cinematographer. The film is expected to go on floors this December.
