After the massive success of 96, Govind Vasantha is one of the most sought-after music directors in Kollywood. The Thaikkudam Bridge frontman has been signing several projects, the most recent of which is with Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies. Sources close to the project suggest that the film will be helmed by Dhana Sekhar, an associate of the veteran director. Incidentally, Madras Talkies has only produced two films that were not directed by Mani Ratnam himself — Azhagam Perumal’s Dumm Dumm Dumm and Susi Ganeshan’s Five Star —and both were helmed by his erstwhile associates.

Apart from this, Govind also has Uriyadi 2 and an untitled project with Siddharth in the lead. Seethakathi, Govind’s second project with Balaji Tharaneetharan (after the unreleased Oru Pakka Kadhai), is gearing up for release next month.
