Actor Nagarjuna, who awaits the release of Officer, has revealed that he was approached for lead roles in a Tamil and a Malayalam film to be directed by actor Dhanush and Priyadarshan, respectively.

“Dhanush approached me with a script, which was originally written for Rajinikanth. As Rajini has taken a political plunge, he wanted me to be a part of that film," says Nagarjuna.  The actor also revealed that Priyan has offered him a parallel lead role in his next film, Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham, inspired by the life of 16th Century naval chief Kunjali Marakkar, featuring Mohanlal. "Talks are still underway for that, but nothing has been finalised yet."

Nagarjuna is currently working on his upcoming film with Nani, and also in deliberations with director Kalyan Krishna for a sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana. "I will make a formal announcement once I decide on my next projects,” says the actor.
