Following the recent trend of top Indian actors dubbing for iconic characters in Hollywood films, Kajol has lent her voice to Elastigirl, for the Hindi version of the upcoming superhero sequel Incredibles 2.

Earlier this year, Rana Daggubati and Ranveer Singh had dubbed for the characters of Thanos and Deadpool in the Marvel films Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2, respectively. The decision of the production houses to rope in well-known regional stars to voice characters has been welcomed by the audience, considering the box office numbers of these dubbed films.

Incredibles 2 is a direct sequel to the 2004 original film, which featured the voices of Craig T Nelson for Bob Parr (Mr Incredible), Holly Hunter as Helen Parr (Elastigirl) and Samuel L Jackson as Lucius Best (Frozone). Filmmaker Brad Bird, who made The Incredibles, is back to helm the sequel and lend voice to the character Edna Mode in the international version.

The Disney-Pixar production will be released in India on June 22, in languages like English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
