Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi has officially begun shooting for the Hindi remake of BBC’s international TV series, Criminal Justice. In a statement, he said, “This is one of the most anticipated projects I’m working on. We’ve just begun shooting, and working with Tigmanshu Dhulia is turning out to be all that I expected and wished it would. I cannot wait for audiences to see my character.”

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the series will star the National Award-winning actor alongside Jackie Shroff and Vikrant Massey. Pankaj Tripathi earned critical appreciation for his roles in 2017, including in Newton, and he will next be seen in Rajinikanth's Kaala

Criminal Justice, first shown in 2008, starred Ben Whishaw (famous for his portrayal of Q in the Bond franchise) as Ben Coulter, a young man who is accused of murder after a drunken and drug-filled night out, though he does not remember committing the crime. It was directed by Otto Bathurst and Luke Watson. In 2009, the second series, directed by Yann Demange and Marc Jobst, featured Maxine Peake as the troubled housewife, Juliet Miller, whose husband was stabbed in their bed.
