Delhi girl Prachi Tehlan joins Mammootty's Maamankam

The sportswoman-turned-actor will play one of the female leads in the period epic directed by Sajeev Pillai

As per the latest reports, sportswoman-turned-actor Prachi Tehlan will play one of the female leads in Mammootty's upcoming period epic, Mamankam. Directed by Sajeev Pillai, the film is about a group of fierce warriors called Chaver, who plot to overthrow the Zamorin rulers.

Prachi says, "Yes, I am doing a film with Mammootty sir. It's the biggest Malayalam film ever being made. The shoot has started. I can't reveal much about the film, but it's a wonderful experience to be a part of such a big project for my first film in the south."

The actor, who is a professional Basketball and Netball player, made her acting debut in the TV drama Diya Aur Baati Hum. She has also appeared in two Punjabi films -- Arjan and Bailaras.
