Actor-director Anand Ravi’s Telugu suspense thriller Napolean: The Man Who Lost His Shadow is going to be remade in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi. Producer Dhananjayan Govind has acquired the remake rights in Tamil, producer Chakri Chigurupati will be making the film in Kannada and the Hindi remake rights were bagged by Balaram Sharma of Glamour Eyes Films.

Confirming the news, Anand Ravi says, “The story is of a man losing his shadow - a plot that hasn’t been explored before in Indian cinema. The Telugu version won critical acclaim, and I’m happy to see it being remade in other languages. While the Kannada version is on the floors, the groundwork has begun for the Tamil version. We have also signed an agreement with a producer to remake it in Hindi. A young actor popular for featuring in social dramas will reprise the lead role in Tamil, while veteran Kannada actor (Tiger) Prabhakar’s son Vinod plays the protagonist in Kannada. The lead actor and the director for the Hindi remake are yet to be finalised.”

Vinod Prabhakar has started shooting for the Kannada version in Hyderabad. Bengaluru Films’ Kumar, in association Chakri Chigurupati, is producing the film under the banner Sri Kanakadurga Chalanachitra. The film’s music is by Achu, with cinematography by Manohar Joshi.
