Peranbu Asian premiere in Shanghai

The film will be released once the festival wraps up by the end of June

Mammootty-starrer Peranbu which will mark the Tamil comeback of the actor had its world premiere in January this year at the 47th International Film Festival of Rotterdam. Played under the name Resurrection, it was the only Indian film to feature in the top 20 amongst the 187 films which competed for the Audience Award category. Now, the film has been officially selected for the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival. 

While the teaser and songs of the film are expected to be released soon, the film will be released once the festival wraps up by the end of June.

Also starring Anjali, Thangameenkal Sadhna, and Anjali Ameer, Peranbu is directed by Ram. PL Thenappan of Shree Raajalakshmi films has produced this film while Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music.
