The poster of the Dhanush-starrer, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, was launched at 72nd Cannes Film Festival. The actor shared pictures from Cannes on his official Twitter page.

Directed by Canadian filmmaker Ken Scott, the film is expected to be released on May 30. It also stars Bérénice Bejo, Barkhad Abdi and Erin Moriarty in prominent roles.

Shot in Mumbai, Paris, the Falklands, Spain, Rome and Libya, the film has Dhanush playing a Mumbai man, Ajatashatru Lavash Patel. It is based on the book The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe, written by Romain Puertolas.

The project, which marks Dhanush's debut in Hollywood, will be released in Hindi, English and Tamil.
