Last seen opposite Sasikumar in Kodiveeran, Mahima Nambiar, has officially been roped in to play the female lead in Vikram Prabhu-starrer, Asura Guru.

The Saattai actor, whose Iravukku Aayiram Kangal alongside Arulnithi is hitting the screens on firday, will start shooting for Asura Guru from tomorrow, and according to sources, it will be the toughest character of her career. Directed by debutante Rajdeep, a former associate of Mohan Raja, the film, touted to be an intense crime thriller, was launched in February without revealing the heroine.

With music by Ganesh Raghavendra of Renigunda fame and cinematography by Ramalingam, who helmed the camera for Visaaranai, the film also stars Yogi Babu and Ramdoss in important roles.

Apart from Asura Guru, Mahima has GV Prakash's Ayngaran in the pipeline.
