Buzz has it that Vikram will be showcasing a different bulky physique in his upcoming film, Mahavir Karna. The actor, who is apparently following strict diet regime, shared a picture of himself on Instagram, and wrote, "Black and white with shades of grey."
 

This period film will be directed by RS Vimal of Ennu Ninte Moideen fame. Touted to be made on a budget of Rs 300 crore, it will feature Vikram in the role of Karna.

Predominantly shot in Hindi, Mahavir Karna will be dubbed into Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The makers are looking to release the film for Christmas holidays next year.

Meanwhile, Vikram has Saamy Square and Dhruva Natchathiram in the pipeline, besides an untitled project with Rajesh M Selva, which is to be produced by Kamal Haasan
