Manasa Radhakrishnan to make Kannada debut

A Sharadhaa

Appa Amma Preethi marks the directorial debut of Sridhar and has Vinay Rajkumar playing the lead role, along with real-life couple Sarath Kumar and Radikaa Sarathkumar in pivotal roles. In an attempt to rope in the best cast for the film, the makers are said to have approached a leading Malayalam heroine Manasa Radhakrishnan, who will, in all likelihood, be making her Kannada debut with the film. Our source tells us that the actor was in Bengaluru for a day when she had a round of discussions with the makers.

Apparently, Manasa liked the story and will be signing the dotted line, after the terms are finalised. If everything falls in place, she will join a slew of talented Malayalam actors such as Navya Nair, Parvarthy, Bhavana Menon, Bhama, and Nithya Menon, who have all had a stint in the Kannada industry.

Manasa started her film career as a child artiste in 2008, and has worked in nine films, including Paultettante Veedu, Balasa, Crossroads, Tiyaan, and Kattu. Her upcoming project, Vikadakunaran, directed by Boban Samuel, is yet to go on floors.

Appa Amma Preethi, which comes with the tagline ‘Ide Nanna Parapancha’, is said to be a new and different genre for Vinay. The film, produced by NLN Murthy, with music by Judah Sandy, will take off once Vinay is done with his present project Anantu v/s Nusrat, a Sudheer Shanbhogue directorial.
