Krishna, who recently wrapped up his portions in Dhanush's Maari 2, began shooting for Kazhugu 2 in Munnar yesterday. Bindhu Madhavi, who played the female lead in the first part, has been roped in for this film as well. 

Kazhugu, released in 2012, received praise for the making and the performances of the leads. It traced the love story of a man who earns his living by recovering the dead bodies of suicide victims.

Sathya Siva, who directed Kazhugu, will also be directing this film, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Editor Praveen KL and cinematographer Sathya who were part of the original have been replaced by Gopikrishna and Raja Battacharjee, respectively.

Apart from this film, Krishna also has Kalari, alongside Vidya Pradeep and Grahanam, directed by Pyaar Prema Kaadhal-fame Elan, in his kitty.
