Actor Shalini Pandey, who is currently shooting for Kalyan Ram’s untitled suspense thriller, has been approached to play the female lead opposite Naga Shaurya in a new film. To be directed by Raja Kolusu, who earlier provided the story for Nara Rohit’s Balakrishnudu, the film is billed to be a rom-com.

“Raja has discussed the role and script with Shalini and the latter is pleased with the core idea. The talks are in the advanced stages and if she agrees to play the part, this will be the first time she will be working together with Naga Shaurya,” says a source.

The principal shooting of the film will begin on August 9 in Hyderabad followed by a schedule in Munnar and abroad. “The team is determined to complete the shoot by November and release the film in January,” the source adds.

V Anand Prasad is producing this film, while Swara Sagar Mahathi is scoring the music.
