Director Tharun Bhascker is gearing up to recreate the magic of Pelli Choopulu with his upcoming buddy comedy Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi (ENE). Starring Vishwak Sen, Abhinav Gomatam, Venkatesh Kakumanu and Sushanth Reddy, the film is slated for release this Friday.

Tharun’s idea to cast a host of lesser-known faces in the film has received accolades from IT Minister KT Rama Rao, who was the chief guest at the film’s pre-release event on Monday. “I have seen the film and the youngsters have done a brilliant job. Despite scoring a big hit with his first film, Tharun didn’t cast big stars in his next. It feels good to see him spearheading the content revolution in Telugu cinema. I hope Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi becomes a bigger hit than Pelli Choopulu,” said KTR.

Also present was Rana Daggubati, who recalled his association with the director. “Tharun was my junior. He is sincere and has made this film with little-known actors. He has no ego and I like him as a person,” said Rana.

Tharun thanked producer Suresh Babu for encouraging new talent in the industry. “He has become a father figure to independent filmmakers. He is trying to change the mindset of our audience with his modern thoughts,” the filmmaker said.
