We had reported yesterday that Simbu might be collaborating with Venkat Prabhu for a film soon. While the director confirmed to Cinema Express that talks are on for that project, it's now known that the actor is also in talks with Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru-director Karthick Naren. 

A source close to the young director, who has completed his second film Naragasooran, says, "Discussions are currently on and the production house will be making an official announcement soon. If it pans out, Karthick will immediately work on the Simbu project before starting on Nadaga Medai, which was earlier announced as his third project. As far as Naragasooran is concerned, the source says, "The makers have applied for the censor certificate and the film is in the final mixing stage. An announcement regarding the Arvind Swamy-starrer can be expected in the first week of July." 

Meanwhile, Simbu has recently completed shooting for Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
