The makers of Mr Chandramouli had organised a press meet in the city on Monday. At the event, they screened the trailer, besides two songs and a couple of scenes from the film. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who plays a pivotal role, said, "Irrespective of one's age, audiences will connect with each character in Mr Chandramouli." Director Thiru added that the story is centred around Varu's character.

Gautham Karthik, who plays the lead, thanked Thiru for giving him the opportunity to discover another side of his dad (Karthik). "Mr Chandramouli explores the father-son relationship in a new angle," he added.

The Producers, BOFTA Media Works India along with Creative Entertainers have come up with an innovative idea to engage with the audience and reward them. "For the first time, for a feature film in India, a movie quiz mobile app has been launched based on the film. The app has 10 questions related to the film. Questions need to be answered within two minutes after starting the quiz. If the player answers all 10 questions within that time, he or she shall be entitled to a guaranteed gift," read a statement from the producers.

Mr Chandramouli is scheduled for release on July 6.
