Sarkar's first song to be shot in Las Vegas

A source close to the unit of Sarkar - Vijay and AR Murugadoss's collaboration after Kaththi and Thuppaki - states that the film's introduction song will be shot in Las Vegas, USA. The actor is known for having his duets shot abroad but this is the first time that an opening number of his will be shot outside India. The source also added that the song won't be a usual dance number but instead, shot as a montage.

The film's first look released last Thursday to a positive response, and it is believed that the title, Sarkar, hints at a political film. There are rumours that Vijay will play an NRI who returns to India for the welfare of the people. The film, starring Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, Pala Karuppiah, Yogi Babu and Prem Kumar. AR Rahman, Girish Gangadharan, and Sreekar Prasad will handle the film's music, cinematography and editing respectively. The latest buzz is that Mersal's producer Sri Thenandal Films is the frontrunner to get the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights for Sarkar which is scheduled to hit the screens this Diwali.
