Maamankam director praises Mammootty

Sajeev Pillai took to his Facebook page to talk about the film and the actor's performance in it

The shoot of Mammootty's upcoming historical epic Maamankam has been progressing smoothly, and its director, Sajeev Pillai, took to his Facebook page to talk about the film and Mammootty's performance. He announced the completion of the second schedule along with calling the first schedule an "action-packed" one.

The director went on to add that Mammootty has not tried something like this before and that he is grateful to him for doing this film. He also credited the actor for delivering an extraordinary performance that gave him so much confidence. Sajeev has promised that the film will be replete with intense emotions and action and that it will be very much rooted in our land and tradition.

There are reports that Mammootty will be seen in different getups in the film. Maamankam revolves around a group of fierce warriors rebelling against the Zamorin rulers. Mumbai actor Prachi Tehlan was recently cast as the female lead.
