Rajkummar Rao to star in Made in China

The story traces the journey of a Gujarati businessman and his struggles to become a successful entrepreneur. The female lead is yet to be finalised.

Last seen in Hansal Mehta’s biographical crime drama Omerta, Rajkummar Rao has signed a film titled Made in China with director Mikhil Musale. The film marks the Bollywood debut of the filmmaker, who made the National Award-winning Gujarati film, Wrong Side Raju.

Made in China is produced by Maddock Films, which is also bankrolling Rajkummar’s horror comedy, Stree. The film is expected to start rolling from September and the team plans to shoot extensively in Ahmedabad and across China.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao has Mental Hai Kya, Ami Saira Bano, Shimla Mirchi, 5 Weddings, Love Sonia and Fanne Khan in various stages of production.
