Vignesh Shivn pens a song for Nayanthara's Kolamavu Kokila

The second single from Kolamavu Kokila, Kalyana Vayasu, went viral some time ago. And now, the team has launched the single, Orey Oru. The lyrics of this song have been penned by filmmaker-lyricist Vignesh Shivn.

All the songs from the Nayanthara-starrer are being released on the internet as singles, in lieu of the traditional whole album audio launch. The first song Edhuvaraiyo, released in March, was written by Aalaporan Thamizhan-fame Vivek and featured Gautham Menon's voiceover. The video of the second song Kalyana Vayasu, which marked Sivakarthikeyan's debut as a lyricist, featuring Yogi Babu has become a huge hit in YouTube crossing twenty-one million views.

Vignesh Shivn, who started writing lyrics from his first directorial, Poda Podi, has collaborated with composer Anirudh several times in the past for films like Thaanaa Serndha Koottam and Naanum Rowdydhaan, and independent singles like Chancey Illa, Avalukena and Onnume Aagale.

 

Kolamavu Kokila, directed by  Nelson Dilipkumar, also features Saranya Ponvannan in an important role. 

Meanwhile, Nayanthara also has Imaikkaa Nodigal, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Viswasam in various stages of production.
