In a video interview, Gautham Menon revealed he's planning to direct Suriya in a film which will begin next year. The filmmmaker said he was in talks with the actor, and assured that things will fall in place soon. 

He added, "Suriya is busy with Selvaraghavan and KV Anand projects. Once he's relieved of his commitments, we'll team up," he added. 

In addition, Gautham clarified he'll make a VTV sequel with Simbu, and not Madhavan and three other heroes as was reported. 

Also, he spoke about directing Vijay. "If I ever get an opportunity to work with him, I want to make a romantic action entertainer, not a cop story," he said.

One may recall Gautham was supposed to direct Vijay in Yohan Athiyayam Ondru, which never materialised. As of now, the director has Dhruva Natchathiram and Enai Noki Paayum Thota in the pipeline.
