The audio of RK Nagar, a political satire directed by Saravana Rajan, and starring Vaibhav and Shiva, was launched on Monday. Anirudh Ravichander, who was the chief guest at the event, said he was a huge fan of Premgi Amaren, the film’s music director, and that the two of them often discuss music.

He also joked that aside from Rajinikanth and Ajith films, the only other star whose film he watches in the theatre is Shiva. Noting that he has watched Vaibhav’s Meyaadha Maan multiple times, the composer also said that he is a huge fan of Venkat Prabhu and is jealous of the friendship that the director shares with his Chennai 600028 gang.

Premgi Amaren, when he took the stage, credited Yuvan Shankar Raja for all that he knew about composing. He further said RK Nagar was a ‘family’ film and mentioned that this was the second film with Vaibhav in the lead that he had composed music for.

Venkat Prabhu, who is producing the film under his Black Ticket Company banner, said that most of the film was shot in RK Nagar itself, and that Aravind Akash and Karunakaran have done cameos in it. He further remarked that he was proud that all his assistants — Saravana Rajan, Pa Ranjith, Shakti Soundar Rajan — have films releasing in the month of June.

Distributed by Thenandal Studios Limited across Tamil Nadu, the film also features Sana Althaf in the lead.
