Last seen in Sundar C's Kalakalappu 2, alongside Jai, Nikki Galrani and Catherine Tresa, actor Jiiva has started shooting for his upcoming feel good drama, Gypsy. The film was officially launched yesterday in Karaikal.

Gypsy is directed by writer-turned-filmmaker Raju Murugan, who helmed the critically acclaimed Joker, and has Natasha Singh playing the female lead. It is said that the team will set out to Himachal Pradhesh after the completion of the first schedule in Karaikal, to shoot a major portion of the film there. The film, which has cinematography by Managaram-fame SK Selvakumar and music by Santhosh Narayanan, will reportedly hit the screens towards the end of 2018.

Meanwhile, Jiiva is awaiting the release of his cybercrime thriller Kee, which also stars Nikki Galrani and RJ Balaji. The film was initially supposed to hit the screens in February, but was postponed due to the release of Kalakalappu 2.
