A grand set has been constructed in Thanjavur for a song titled Ottaram Pannadha from Kalavani-2 (K2). A source close to the unit says the makers were particular about the design of the sets, and had them resemble ancient houses. “This is a romantic song, and director Sarkunam is happy with the output. Art director Gunasekar T has been working on this for some time,” adds the source. K2 will see most of the cast of the first film (Kalavani) returning to reprise their roles. However, Soori will not be a part of this film. While Vemel started shooting for his scenes in January, Oviya began shooting for the film in May. The film also has RJ Vigneshkanth and Saranya Ponvannan in important roles. We hear the shooting will be wrapped up by June 22.
