Actor Nani is set to star in a biopic about Tiger Nageswara Rao, the Robin Hood of Stuartpuram, a village near Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh. Directed by Vamsi Krishna of Kittu Unnadu Jagratha fame, the film is being bankrolled by Anil Sunkara under AK Entertainments.

Initially, the makers had approached Rana Daggubati for the lead role but with the Nene Raju Nene Mantri actor already committed to work in another biopic on the life of the iconic wrestler Kodi Ramamurthy Naidu, they are now keen to cast Nani.

“Nani is excited to be on board, but is yet to be given the narration. Vamsi will meet the actor for a detailed narration shortly once Bigg Boss 2 goes on air,” shares a source.

In all probability, the film will go on floors either in July or August, soon after Nani wraps up Bigg Boss 2 and an untitled multi-starrer being directed by Sriram Adittya.
