Mayaanadhi to get Hindi remake

Produced by Aashiq Abu, Santosh Kuruvilla and Sachin Pilgaonkar, the remake will be directed by Joe Rajan of Luv U Soniyo fame

Aashiq Abu's Mayaanadhi is getting a Hindi remake. Luv U Soniyo-fame Joe Rajan will direct the film, while Aashiq Abu, Santosh Kuruvilla and Sachin Pilgaonkar will be producing it.

The critically-acclaimed romantic drama starred Tovino Thomas as a criminal on the run who falls in love with an aspiring actor played by Aishwarya Lekshmi. Written by Dileesh Nair and Syam Pushkaran, the film won rave reviews for its novel concept and characterisation.

Aishwarya's performance as an independent, career-driven, and ambitious young woman was given special mention at several award shows. The film was regarded as one of the best Malayalam films of 2017, and initiated many thought-provoking discussions online.
