Director Shafi has confirmed that his latest film Oru Pazhaya Bomb Kadha will most probably release in the second week of July. The director says the post-production work is going on at the moment.

The film will be a novel attempt for Shafi given the fact that Bibin George, who is physically challenged, is playing the lead. Bibin is one of the co-writers of the hits Amar Akbar Anthony and Kattappanayile Ritwik Roshan, both directed by Nadirshah. He has also appeared in small roles in Role Models and Amar Akbar Anthony.

"It's not an out-and-out comedy like some of my earlier films. There is some humour courtesy of some of the cast but it's mostly a lighthearted, feel-good film", says Shafi.

Prayaga Martin plays the female lead. The script is by two newcomers, Binu Joseph and Sunil Karma. The supporting cast will feature Harishree Asokan, Vijayaraghavan, and Hareesh Kanaran. In addition to this, Vishnu Unnikrishnan will have a cameo. Vishnu was Bibin's co-writer on Amar Akbar Anthony and Kattappanayile Ritwik Roshan.

Shafi says his next project with Dileep will most likely begin next year. Udayakrishna is writing the script. The director has also clarified that the news of Mamta Mohandas' casting is a rumour.

He also confirmed that a Two Countries sequel is not in the works. "Nothing like that is being planned as of now. There is no story or script in place."

Shafi's last film was Sherlock Toms with Biju Menon and Mia George.
