She will be playing the female lead opposite Gautham Karthik

CE Features

We had told you Gautham Karthik was collaborating with KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green for a rural outing titled Devarattam. Now, it has been confirmed that Manjima Mohan, who's currently occupied with Zam Zam (the Malayalam remake of Queen) is paired opposite the Kadal actor in this Muthaiah directorial.

Apparently, Devarattam is an ancient form of dance by Kambalathu Nayakkar community. It's not known yet if Gautham will essay the role of a Devarattam artiste or not.

This is Gautham's second rural film after the disastrous Muthuramalingam. The actor had told CE a while ago, "Of course, that was a failure, but it doesn't mean that I shouldn't try my luck in the same genre again."

On the film front, Gautham Karthik has Mr Chandramouli, besides a couple of untitled films in the pipeline.
