The sequel to VK Prakash's Trivandrum Lodge has been announced. Titled Madras Lodge, the sequel will again be directed by Prakash. Anoop Menon, who penned the script for the original, is also returning as writer.

According to Anoop, the sequel will be an independent story with new characters. The locations will be Kochi and Chennai. Incidentally, the original film was set in Kochi despite having Trivandrum in its title.

Trivandrum Lodge was quite well-received and now enjoys something of a cult status. Noble Jose, who produced Anoop's Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal under the banner of 999 Entertainments, is backing Madras Lodge too.
