Kayal Chandran, who is awaiting the release of Venkat Prabhu's Party, has signed his next film. Titled Naan Seidha Kurumbu, the film, bankrolled and directed by debutant Mahavishnu, is set to go on floors on August 5.  

About the film, Chandran says, "I am not at the liberty to reveal too much, but I can assure that the film's storyline will be something that hasn't been attempted in Indian cinema. The USP of the film will be revealed through the first look which will be launched on August 5."

He also adds that the film will be a blend of a romcom and a thriller. "It's a mixed genre film targeted at the family audience. Towards the second half, the viewers will feel like they are reading a novel," he says, and clarifies that it will not bear any similarity to Daavu, his other upcoming film. "Daavu is a fun film with a historical background. Rather than a romcom, I'd call Daavu a comedy entertainer."

With Chennai 2 Singapore-fame Anju Kurian playing the female lead, Naan Seidha Kurumbu also stars Mirchi Vijay and Urvashi.
