Dileesh Pothan-starrer Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapaathakam will be released on September 7. Directed by Rejishh Midhila, the film's title is based on a line said by Maniyanpillai Raju in the hit classic, No 20 Madras Mail. Raju played the role of a novelist who mentions Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam as the novel he has written. However, Midhila's film, which has Amit Chakalakkal playing the protagonist, is said to have no connection to No 20 Madras Mail.

Dileesh Pothan appeared last in Neerali and in addition to Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapaathakam, the actor will be seen in Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal, Padayottam and Drama.
