Midhun Manuel Thomas, who directed Jayasurya in the cult hit Aadu and its sequel Aadu 2, will be joining hands with the actor for another project that is not the already planned Aadu 3. Though other details are not out yet, it is believed that this will be an entirely new idea. 

Jayasurya is expected to start work on this once he finishes Ranjith Sankar's Pretham 2, a sequel to Pretham. The news was announced by Ranjith himself recently. The director has confirmed that this will be the actor's next after Njan Marykutty. Jayasurya's bold performance in Njan Marykutty has garnered much praise. Pretham 2 will be the duo's seventh film together.
