Despite being in the film industry for more than fifteen years and working in languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, Trisha has not played a dual role till now. The actor will now be seen in a dual role for the first time in her upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual horror film, Mohini.

Trisha broke the news on Sunday during a press meet for the film. “I’m playing a dual role for the first time in my career in Mohini with the characters, Vaishnavi and Mohini. Out of the two roles, Mohini is more special to me as it required that I learn new body language and modulation,” she said, adding that 85 per cent of the film has been shot in London. “I’ve never done so much action in my career. The film will definitely surprise the audience.”

Speaking at the event, the film’s director Madhesh said, “Mohini’s premise is built on a concept called epigenetics. It will be a new experience for the audience. We’ve infused scientific elements into familiar horror tropes. The film also touches upon sensitive topics like sexual abuse and harassment. It will be relevant to the current scenario in Tamil Nadu.”

Mohini, also starring Yogi Babu, Jackky Bhagnani, and Swaminathan is all set to hit the screens this Friday.
