Rahul Riji Nair's Ottamuri Velicham has won the German Star of India -- Best Movie award at the Indian Film Festival which took place in Stuttgart, Germany. The film, which deals with the overlooked subject of marital rape, stars Deepak Parambol and Vinitha Koshy.

Ottamuri Velicham already won four Kerala State awards including Best Film, Best Editor, Special Jury Award (Vinitha Koshy) and Second Best Actress (Pauly Valsan).

Rahul is currently finishing work on his second film Dakini, which stars Sarasa Balussery, Sreeletha Sreedharan, Pauly Valsan, and Sethulakshmi, along with Chemban Vinod Jose, Indrans, Alencier Ley and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
