Director Karthik Saragur recently wrapped up the shoot of Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja at Kodachadri after a 13-day schedule. His directorial debut is based on different type of cuisines and the memories triggered by them. “The entire film is based on six rasas--sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent, and the six characters represent these six rasas,” he says.

The last schedule was shot with the entire cast of the film--Aravinnd Iyer, Achyuth Kumar, Arohi Narayan, Priyanka Thimmesh, child artistes Aadya and Chitrali. Now, Karthik is working on the teaser of the film, along with the post-production works, aiming to launch the teaser on Varamahalakshmi festival. “We were lucky to complete the shoot before the monsoon set in. Since most of the portions in this schedule had to be shot after sunset to match the mood of the storyline, we all burnt the midnight oil,” says Karthik.

The film features Aravinnd playing the role of a passionate cook, Priyanka as a simple Christian girl Sarah, and Aarohi donning the role of an Iyengar girl Vedavalli.

Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja is being produced by Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah, Rakshit Shetty and Hemanth M Rao. The film has music by Charan Raj and cinematography by Ravindranath.
