Mile 22's Indian release pushed to August 24

The Mark Wahlberg-starrer was earlier scheduled for release on August 17

Mark Wahlberg-starrer Mile 22 will be released in India on August 24. The action-thriller drama marks the fourth collaboration of Wahlberg and Peter Berg after the Oscar-nominated Lone Survivor. It will be released by PVR Pictures in India. Earlier, it was announced the film would hit the screens on August 17.

Written by Graham Roland and Lea Carpenter, Mile 22 is the story of an elite American intelligence officer who, with the help of a top-secret tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of a foreign country.

The film also features UFC champion-turned-actor Ronda Rouse, Indonesian martial artist Iko Uwais, John Malkovich and Lauren Cohan. Mile 22 was shot in Atlanta and in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. Colombian President Juam Manuel Santos visited the shooting location and is said to have tried his hand at shooting one of the action sequences.
