Last seen in Ippadai Vellum alongside Udhayanidhi Stalin, Manjima Mohan, who recently finished work on Zam Zam, the Malayalam remake of Queen, has begun shooting for her next, Devarattam. Directed by Muthaiah of Komban fame, the film marks her first association with Gautham Karthik.

The actor broke the news on Twitter earlier this week. This will be her second rural film after 2017's Sathriyan. Gautham Karthik, on the other hand, previously tried his hand on the genre in Muthuramalingam, but the film failed to impress the critics and the audience alike and was heavily criticised for its treatment.

Bankrolled by Studio Green productions, Devarattam has music by Nivas K Prasana, editing by Praveen KL  and cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan.
