Debutant Prasobh Vijayan's Lilli will be getting released on September 7. The film cleared the censors recently with an 'A' certificate for its extremely violent content. Lilli is one of the rare Malayalam films to get an 'A' certificate for violence.

A survival thriller shot in a single location, Lilli stars Samyukhta Menon as a pregnant woman abducted and locked up in a secluded location by some men. It features multiple characters with negative and grey shades.

E4 Experiments, an offshot of the production company E4 Entertainment, is producing Lilli. E4 Experiments was created last year with an aim to promote budding filmmakers with fresh ideas. Lilli is E4 Experiments' first production venture.
