We had previously reported that GV Prakash and Siddharth are teaming up for a film directed by Sasi of Poo fame. The film’s shooting commenced on Monday and it’s planned to be shot in Chennai and Pondicherry. While the film was speculated to be titled Rettai Kombu by some online portals, a source close to the film unit has confirmed that the title hasn’t been confirmed yet. The film is produced by Abhishek Pictures which is known for funding and distributing Telugu films.

The female leads for this project haven’t yet been finalised. Said to be an emotional drama, the film will be made as a trilingual — in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, reveals a source. Interestingly, Sasi’s last film, Pichaikkaran, was dubbed in Telugu as Bichagadu and turned out to be a huge hit. Siddharth’s last Tamil film Aval was also simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi.
