Upen Patel to play Narain Karthikeyan in biopic?

Following the success of the recent biopics Mahanathi and Sanju, a film based on the life of India's first Formula One racer Narain Karthikeyan is on the cards. And it is touted that I-fame Upen Patel has been approached to play the role.

Born in Tamil Nadu, Narain began racing in 1993 and went on to participate in various forms of the sport. He made his Formula One debut at the Jordan Grandpix in 2005, and is considered the best car racer from India. 

The makers of the biopic are said to have approached Upen Patel for the role while he was shooting for Atharvaa's upcoming film, Boomerang, and the actor seems to have shown interest in working on the project. It is also speculated that the film, which will be made in Hindi, might also get a Tamil version owing to the racer's fan following in the state.
