Nagarjuna returns to Bollywood with Ranbir and Alia's Brahmastra

CE Features

Last seen in LOC Kargil (2003) in Hindi, Nagarjuna will be making his comeback to Bollywood through the Ayan Mukerji-directorial Brahmastra. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles.

Nagarjuna, who made his Bollywood debut with Shiva more than two decades ago, went on to act in several Hindi films including Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi's Khuda Gawah and Ajay Devgn’s Zakhm

Brahmastra is the first film in a fantasy adventure trilogy that Ayan has been working on for the past six years. "This is a modern day film. It is set in India as it exists today, but the name of the film is Brahmastra because the energy, wisdom, and powers in the film come from ancient India. As far as costumes are concerned, there are some which may not be what you expect them to be," the filmmaker had said earlier.

The first schedule of the fantasy adventure film was wrapped in Bulgaria on March  24 and the crew will commence the second schedule in London soon. Expected to be released on August 15, 2019, the makers are planning two more sequels for Brahmastra.
