Senna Hegde’s directorial debut in Kannada is set to get a world premiere this month in six countries. His first Kannada film, Katheyondu Shuruvagide will be screened in Australia, Singapore, Malyasia, UK, Europe and US on July 27 and 28.

“Earlier, our plan was to release it here and then take the film abroad. But since we could not match dates, we decided to get a headstart overseas, and then follow it up with a release in India,” the filmmaker says.

In India, the film starring Diganth and Pooja Devariya, will be released on August 3. In addition, the cast also includes Shreya Anchan and Ashwin Rao Pallaki. The film deals with the lives of different couples in different age groups. Diganth plays an eligible bachelor and a resort owner, while Pooja comes into the picture as one of the guests.

The film is produced by Pushkar Mallikarjunaiah, Rakshit Shetty, Senna Hegde and Vinod Divakar. Katheyondu Shuruvagide has music by Sachin Warrier and cinematography by Sreeraj  Raveendran.
