Classic Naagarahavu to be re-released on July 20

The original version, released in 1973, marked the debut of Ambareesh and Vishnuvardhan

Eshwari Productions is set to repeat history with the re-release of yesteryear classic Naagarahavu. The film starring Dr Vishnuvardhan and directed by Puttanna Kanagal made on cinemascope 7.1 will be hitting theatres on July 20. The original version, released in 1973, was produced by Veeraswamy under Sri Eshwari Productions, and is now being re-released by his sons and actors, V Ravichandran and Balaji.

Along with Vishnuvardhan, Naagarahavu marked the debut of Ambareesh. The film featured Aarathi, KS Ashwath and Leelavathi. The film’s music was composed by Vijaya Bhaskar and its cinematographer was Chittibabu.
