Kamal Haasan, who recently released the trailer of Vishwaroopam 2, has revealed that his next film Sabaash Naidu is 40 percent done. He has also stated that though the film's title has a caste name in it, he doesn't celebrate it. He compared it with how legendary actor MR Radha wrote dialogues mentioning caste names despite opposing the caste system.

Sabaash Naidu went on floors in May 2016 in Los Angeles. The film was to be directed by TK Rajeev Kumar, who had debuted with Kamal Haasan-starrer Chanakyan in 1989. However, the director fell sick and Kamal took over the baton. Unfortunately, Kamal then fractured his leg, leading to further delay. Now, the film is finally set to be resumed after the actor completes his Bigg Boss commitments.

Also shot in Hindi and Telugu, the cast includes Brahmanandam, Shruti Haasan and Ramya Krishnan. Kamal is expected to wrap up Sabaash Naidu before starting work on Shankar's Indian 2.
